Dr. Kyle’s Breakfast Green Smoothie Recipe

Dr. Kyle’s Breakfast Green Smoothie

Makes 2 servings

6 leaves of kale (remove stem, give to dogs) or a handful or 2 of fresh spinach

4 celery stalks or 1 cucumber

2 bananas

1 cup of frozen mango or berries

1 tablespoon of fresh ground flaxseed or chia seed or hemp seed

½ to 1 fresh jalapeno (if you like spicy in the AM!)

1 spoonful maca powder (optional, has very distinct taste some may not be a fan of. ie my wife)

Fill blender to ¾ high with filtered or distilled water OR non-dairy milk

I also like to add fresh juiced ginger, 1 lemon, 2 juiced carrots and 1 avocado

Optimally recommend a high powered blender (Blendtec or Vitamix)

They are not cheap but you can purchase refurbished models through company.

Given I typically have smoothies daily for breakfast it has been a worthy investment.

A good rule of thumb is using celery or cucumber as a base with kale or spinach.

Sweeten to taste with frozen or fresh fruits.

Avoid regular dairy yogurt or milk or anything synthetic. No need to add protein powder.
